We are but a number of days…

Final Days
Sometimes we float through life as if we’ll last forever…until we taste the reality of our ephemeral nature as mere mortal beings.
Until we’re hit with a sudden calamity…
A personal affliction…
A change in circumstance…
A dissolution of a relationship…
A family trial…
A financial loss…
A bereavement…
A mental health crisis…
A natural disaster..
A political conflict…
An illness..
A failure…
A fear…
A reminder…it is but a reminder, that we are but a limited number of days on this ephemeral Earth…
And the return To The One is certain…
And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sâbirûn (the patient).
Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: “Truly! To Allâh we belong and truly, to Him we shall return.”
They are those on whom are the Salawât (i.e. who are blessed and will be forgiven) from their Lord, and (they are those who) receive His Mercy, and it is they who are the guided ones.
Cold, In Many Ways

Cold and stuck in my head.
One snowflake falls on another.
Life’s beautiful.
Destination Paradise is my goal.
In the ephemeral universe there’s many signs.
Now’s the time to make use of our lives.
My hands in my pockets and my hood on.
All the leaves have fallen and dried.
No doubt I’ll return to The One.
You and I are not forever…
Walk on alone in silent thought.
All I can do is endure with a smile.
Yearning for warmth and tranquillity.
Snowflakes only last for a while.
Only For The One.
