The road is bumpy and it’s long

And I’m done.

My tyres are flat.

My engine has failed.

I’m stuck in the mud.

The journey is long.

But I need to stay strong.

It’s just not what I want.

Or what I need.

Just want peace.

And ease.

All day long it’s chaos.

Unrest.

Give me a break.

Please.

Try to tackle it head on.

But sometimes you can’t.

Too stubborn.

Can’t disrespect.

Can’t live in regret.

Just move on.

Into the distance.

Stay strong.

The uphill battle.

I chose mercy over might.

Didn’t argue though I’m right.

Took it on the chin.
