Sacred City- Only For The One
I long to be
Back in the Sacred City.
Life feels still, like it stopped,
Despite the ticking clock,
When I’m inside Masjid Al Haram,
Humbly beseeching my Lord, Ar-Rahman.
It’s just between me and Allah,
My prayers and desperate duas,
Will not go unanswered.

I watch the sunshine on the white marble floors.
The Ka’bah looks majestic.
Hundreds of pilgrims entering the Masjid through so many doors.

As I circle around I make dua, to Allah I call.
Despite the constant movement, I feel static.
When I entrust my affairs to The One Who is in control.
Life happens.
So here I am. Stuck.
Or dazed.
Confused.
Unphased.
But I can’t be forever…
To stop or proceed?
Take a step and breath.
Maybe, I’ll be able to see.
Need help to decide which way.
Only Allah can show me.
I need a compass to navigate,
To make a decisive choice clearly.

My heart longs to be back in Masjid Al Haram
Makkah Al Mukarramah.
Umm ul Qura…
One day soon again, InshaAllah, I’ll be in the vicinity.
A special town, from which Islam sent shockwaves.
The birthplace of the Prophet Muhammad, Allah’s final prophet and humble slave.
Those who submit to Allah and reside within the sancturary will be saved…
I long to be back in Makkah, The Sacred City.
Only For The One.
