What makes you do what you do?

Day in, day out,

Is it money, is it clout?

What point are you trying to make?

What risks are you willing to take?

Cutting corners, doing fraud?

Chasing romance because you’re bored?

What are you living for?

For who?

Passing the days, just want to laze.

No ambition, in a constant daze.

Rejected and broken.

Tears left unspoken.

Regretting the past,

Time’s moving fast,

But you choose to complain,

Till you’re emotionally drained.

With no plan nor strategy,

Just complacent misery,

Locked the door,

Curled up on the floor,

For who?

Is it for you?

Or for society?

A lover in tragedy?

Is it for riches?

Is it for fame?

Is it so people know your name?

Is it to one up the guy next door?

Is it to boast that you’ve got way more?

To project beauty and youth and brains?

While your honour is tainted and stained?

Artificial and chronically fake.

Prone not to give, but greedy to take.

For Who?

No direction. Zero effort and willpower.

Self-indulgent, addicted to failure.

Make no difference,

Not to yourself, nor to the world.

You are indifference,

Myopic, too comfortable.

You need a push, you need a shove.

You need assistance from Above.

Wake up, recalibrate.

Don’t be victim to a terrible state.

Think purpose, think end goal…

Beyond this ephemeral world…

Origins, and destination.

The journey to emancipation.

Ask yourself, ‘why am I here?’

Make a prayer, be sincere.

Appeal to The Creator of all that exists- Allah.

‘Please show me a sign, guide me to the Straight Path.’

Beg The One Allah, have an open heart.

Surely, you’ll find your answer at last.

Why do you do what you do?

For Who?

For The One.

Make everything you do and say just for Him.

Everything big, every little thing!

Only for The One, just for You alone,

Oh Allah.

Only for The One, just for You alone,
