Lost-a Poem by Only For The One

How did the years pass by me so fast?
Tomorrow didn’t last.
And I’m here again at the start.
Feeling lost.

Which direction should I go?
I’m confused and I just dont know.
So behind and so darn slow.
Feel I’ve nothing much to show.

I’m just lost.

I feel lost.

I tried to take a path to peace.
Got back up onto my feet.
Raised my hands up to the skies,
And I weeped, and begged and I cried, to The One.

Ya Allah,
Oh Ever-Living One,
Ya Mujeeb (The One Who answers prayers)
Give me a second chance.
Please.

Because I nearly lost my way,
But indeed I have been saved,
By You.

Alhamdulillah.

I begged and I prayed,
Asked You to show me the way.
And I fell.
And I failed,
As I realised my ship had sailed.

But I didn’t lose full hope.
Didn’t let go of the rope.
Climbed back on to the boat.
‘Cos I realised I’m only here,
For a purpose so pure and clear,
I’m only here for The One, Allah.
I will serve my Lord, Allah,
My Creator, My Provider,
My Protector, My Forgiver.

‘Cos I made many mistakes,
But I soon slammed the breaks.
I realised I had tripped and slipped,
And it’s high time to change all this.

The pages have turned and now,
I stand, prostrate and bow,
In peaceful submission to my Lord,
Allah.
Alhamdulillah.

I was lost.
I was tired.
Nearly gone.
But I sought guidance from The One.
Now I’m happy.
Now I’m calm.
And I live only For The One.
