Night Of Decree
It’s so special, got to seize it.
Not worth missing a minute.
Do you know what I’m talking about?
It’s quite special, absolutely no doubt.
The most special Night in the entire year.
In the special Month it’s bound to occur.
In Ramadan, The Month of the Qur’an.
Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu-‘alayhi-wasallam,
Taught us to catch this special Night in prayer,
In the last 10 nights, you’ll find it there.
It’s a Night of opportunity.
A chance for you all and me,
A chance for change and forgiveness,
It’s full of so much goodness,
It’s better than a thousand months,
It’s rewards each wise person wants.
Got to stand, bow and prostrate,
To The One Who decreed our fate,
Got to be the one to seize it,
Not worth missing a minute.
Got to cry out of humility,
“Oh Allah, I beg You, please forgive me!”
“I’ve wronged, I’ve stalled and fallen!”
Must repent with tears, eyes swollen.
“Oh Allah! Please free us from the fire!”
“Fulfill our dreams and heart’s desires!”
“Guide me by Your Mercy and Your Might!”
“Grant me the highest place in Paradise!”
How can we waste this special night?
Got to be people of insight.
Inform your father, mother,
Your sister and your brother,
Can even tell your neighbour,
The rest and and every other,
Let’s spend this Night in ‘Ibaadah,
Upon Qur’an and Sunnah,
Let’s be sincere for Allah
This Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Power.
Let’s seize the Night of Decree.
May Allah forgive you all and me.
